P.S. Our reasons for sort of "abandoning" the blog is because forums are more interactive for everyone, and as I'm sure you've noticed, this blog is being maliciously attacked by some half-wit spammers.

We've tried and tried, but we can't seem to block them, and there's new spammers that just keep on coming.

The videos are now UP - So Get Voting!!

First of all,

Sorry for the wait. It took us quite a while to get the videos "web ready" and such. (This is why we're in the T-Board business - NOT computer stuff).

Anyway, we've selected the seven best entries, and you can vote for ONE of them ONCE, at this link:

http://www.tierneyrides.com/vote_video.html

You MUST use the email address that you receive our newsletters with. (We're doing this to prevent duplicate votes with phony emails, etc.)

If you want your friends to vote, they'll need to register here: http://www.tierneyrides.com/vote_signup.html

Make sure you watch all the videos BEFORE choosing one as your vote.

We're taking down the voting page in 72 hours.

So go and vote NOW: http://www.tierneyrides.com/vote_video.html

Cheers,
After midnight on December 10th, we will no longer be accepting videos.

Remember that the grand prize is $500 Cash (US)!

We have some in already, but we're waiting for at least 3 more...

To check out one of the videos, and to see how we're going to decide the winners, click below:

Sample Video (One of the Entries) >>

Second, here is how the contest will work:

We will have everything set up so that you can vote through an automated form.

Multiple entries (emails) will be forfeited, meaning that if you vote more than once, none of your votes will count.

Santa Rides the T-Board!

(Click Here to See Santa Riding the T-Board...)Merry Christmas!

Well, Christmas is all about giving.

And we're all about that.

We even gave Santa a T-Board. (He signed up for to win a free one a while ago...)

So we've decided to give out boards for as cheap as we possibly can over the Christmas season - and unlike the 48 Hour "fire sale", everyone's got a fair shot at this...

Featured Weekly T-Board Winner: Scott from Alberta, Canada

This week's featured winner is Scott from Medicine Hat, Alberta

When people sign up to win a T-Board, we ask them what their impression is of it (before trying one).

Scott had checked "unsure" on his entry form.

Find out what Scott thinks Now >>

Check out what Scott has to say about his new T-Board:

"Well, I finally got my T-001 41" Indy-equipped T-board in the mail. My first impression pulling it out of the box was: "Wow! This thing is seriously solid." It's nicely shaped, nicely sized and those wheels and trucks are monster! Before I rode, I made sure the wheels were riding free and that everything was tight. (Which it was.) Any maintenance was easy to do since the wheel bolts are simple and straightforward to adjust."

"The one thing I didn't do was try out the board before I took some pictures. (Thanks Pierre for the pics!) I wanted to document my very first attempt at riding this board. I wanted to see if it was that easy to ride and it's been many years since I've ridden a skateboard (which was a plastic banana board) but I do little else in the winters but snowboard in the Canadian Rockies."

"We are blessed with lots and lots of hills in the City of Medicine Hat, Alberta, so as long as I could dodge the occasional pick-up truck I had plenty of hills from which to choose. For my first time I picked an out-of-the-way medium hill with a nice broad sweeping turn at the end."

"Admittedly, the asphalt looked pretty hard and the slope all-of-a-sudden maybe too steep. Would I be photographed eating dirt? But no! Quite simply all I did was put my front foot on the board, pushed off with my back foot down the hill, stepped on and started carving! I was pleasantly surprised. My feet fell into a comfortable and natural stance on the board and away I went! The board was nice and stable as I picked up speed and those Schumacher Specials kept me from sliding around. I confidently carved my way down the hill, through the sweep and all on my very first time on the board!"

"Needless to say, I ran back up that hill a half-dozen times and bombed down again and again. Next time I'll push it a little harder, see how deep I can carve and where the limits lie. I'll be riding this thing a lot."

"I really enjoyed riding the board. I am truly impressed with the simple and effective design. The comparisons to snowboarding are true. It's a very natural extension of the way you'd ride a snowboard. It's going to be fun to ride in the warmer months. I can already see after a few runs that it will make a great off-season trainer and a perfect way to satisfy that carving fix while I wait for the snow to fall. I am hoping that it will make me a better rider this season as well."

"Thank Tierney Bros for thinking this thing up and making it happen."

"It's solid, well-built, well-engineered and a blast to ride. I was happy to win one and I was even happier to ride it!"

"If you're serious about riding in the snow, you should get one."

And the Winner Is....

First of all, thank you to everyone who participated in this contest.

We had NO idea we'd get almost a hundred entries... although, we can understand why you'd want a board :-)

It was very hard to choose a winner. But there were a few posts that simply made us laugh our butts off.

And the winner is.....

*drum roll*

(Click Here to Find Out....)Well, we were actually SO impressed by how many people took part in this, that we decided to do something.

We decided to cut the odds in half by choosing TWO Winners, not just one.

So here they are:

Chris (presumably from England)

Excerpt from entry: "I'm british, which initially is a disability (this however has not resulted in a mobility grant to buy one of your boards) but secondly i havnt seen one over here yet (if i had one i'd make sure it was seen) and lastly on the uk front we get screwed buyin anything from abroad (suppliers charge us nearly double the original price, importing ourselves only results in import tax and up to a month wait)"

AND

Jeremy Yandell (presumably from USA)

Excerpt from entry: "The ruffians accosted me, each carrying large sacks of potatoes and proceeded to bludgeon my limbs to bloody pulps with their sacks of tubers... Thus I implore you to please send me a t-board that I may continue the good fight of my denim clad savior and roam the mean streets, standing up to hooligans and fighting for justice for boarders everywhere."

Congrats, Chris and Jeremy.

We truly enjoyed your writing style, and it seems obvious that you REALLY do want a T-Board.

And Jeremy, if that story's true, we feel for ya dude. But we're glad to hear that a heroic t-boarder rescued you 15 years ago. The truly amazing part about this is that there were no t-boards 15 years ago... :-)

Anyway, we've contacted you both via your email addresses on the blog with further instructions.

As for everyone else... thanks so much for taking part in this. We wish we could give everyone something for their contribution.

And maybe we can... we can't say much right now, but we're working on something that will make it possible for ANY of our subscribers to get a T-Board...

Stay tuned...

Every week we get about 150 sign-ups for the free T-Board (weekly draw). We've given out alot of boards to lucky riders all over the globe - and we're going to keep on doing it!

However...

The odds of winning are NOT good. In fact, they're 1:150. So there's a good chance that if you sign up, all you're going to get is our newsletter :-)

So we're going to create a way for ONE person to win a board in the next 48 hours.

Sound Good?

CLICK HERE TO GET THE CONTEST DETAILS >>So here's the deal:

Tell us WHY you'd like a T-Board, and WHAT you would do with it.

Post your entry in the "Comments" box below on this blog.

It's that simple.

(Make sure you include an email address that we can reach you at if you win).

We will select ONE winner (the best entry) in exactly 48 hours from this posting, which will be at 8:00 PM Pacific Time, Wednesday November 9.

Cool, huh?
