TIERNEY RIDES BRINGS SNOWBOARDING TO THE STREET WITH NEW TORSION RESPONSE TECHNOLOGY™

SAN DIEGO, Calif., – Today, Tierney Rides, LLC, (www.tierneyrides.com) gives snowboarders something new to look forward to in the off season with the debut of its new two-wheeled T-Board.

Tierney developed a revolutionary technology that makes T-Riding unique – Torsion Response Technology. Now, for the first time, there's a two-wheeled street board that delivers a true carve – offering the ride dynamics of snowboarding on paved surfaces.

"When we say 'It's all about the Ride,' we mean it," said Sandy Hogan, President, Tierney Rides. "We have spent the past two years designing, testing and refining T-Boards to create the truest snowboarding experience possible on the street. We weren't going to put this product in stores until our test riders across the country said we nailed it."

Tierney Rides also developed combinations of T-Board lengths and shapes, wheel composites and truck torsion strengths for a full range of customized rides.

Compared to traditional skateboards, T-Boards offer a tighter turn radius in flatland riding and reach much higher speeds in downhill runs. Unlike existing board designs that suffer significant instability at high speeds, T-Boards actually becomes more stable the faster they are ridden.

"The weight and transfer techniques of T-Boarding are the same as snowboarding, making it easy to ride," said Kurt Tierney, chief executive officer and co-founder of Tierney Rides. "The T-Board responsively carves through turns with greater control and a totally fluid motion – especially at high speeds. It was designed for maximum performance."

Available T-Board configurations include:

T-001-38R-38" (96.52cm): Extended Skateboard Geometry Deck with Rubber Indy Wheelset. A downhill wheelset with a more aggressive turning radius and tighter riding action.

T-001-38U-38"(96.52cm): Extended Skateboard Geometry Deck with Urethane Wheelset. The most agile flatboard around. Excellent maneuverability anywhere.

T-001-41R-41"(104.14cm): Snowboard Geometry Deck with Rubber Indy Wheelset. The "no-holds barred" hill carver.

T-001-41U-41" (104.14cm): Snowboard Geometry Deck with Urethane Wheelset. Long board speed with snowboard feel. Best suited for smaller hills.

The T-Board is the brainchild of Kurt and his brother Tyler and has already set a new standard with top riders. The first prototype was constructed from pieces of hardware in their mom's garage in the spring of 1999. Although generations behind the T-Board of today, the original did prove that the brothers' two-wheeled approach could produce the ride they knew was possible.

The T-Board will retail for $254.99 and is available through select specialty retailers nationwide or online at www.tierneyrides.com.
